We are recruiting to fill the following positions below:
1.) Assistant Human Resources Manager
Job Location: Ikeja, Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time
Responsibilities
Assist in workforce planning, recruitment, and selection to ensure the company hires qualified professionals.
Develop job descriptions, conduct interviews, and facilitate onboarding processes.
Handle employee grievances, disputes, and disciplinary procedures in line with labor laws and company policies.
Promote a positive workplace culture through engagement initiatives and employee welfare programs.
Ensure employees receive required health, safety, and regulatory training specific to chemical manufacturing.
Assist in payroll administration, salary reviews, and benefits management.
Ensure competitive compensation structures align with industry standards.
Support the implementation and monitoring of the performance appraisal system.
Provide guidance to managers and employees on performance expectations and improvement plans.
Identify training needs and assist in organizing employee development programs.
Ensure compliance with Nigerian labor laws, health and safety regulations, and company HR policies.
Maintain accurate employee records and ensure proper documentation.
Prepare HR reports on workforce analytics, recruitment status, training, and employee turnover.
Support HR audits and data management to ensure accuracy and confidentiality.
Job Requirements
Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resource Management, Business Administration, Industrial Relations, or related fields. A Master’s degree or MBA in HR is an added advantage.
Professional Certification: CIPM (Chartered Institute of Personnel Management) or SHRM certification is preferred.
Experience: Minimum of 5 years of HR experience, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or managerial role. Experience in the manufacturing or chemical industry is an advantage.
Knowledge & Skills:
Strong understanding of Nigerian labor laws and HR best practices.
Excellent interpersonal, communication, and leadership skills.
Ability to handle HR software and payroll systems.
Problem-solving and conflict resolution abilities.
Knowledge of health, safety, and environmental (HSE) regulations in manufacturing.
Salary
N250,000 – N300,000 monthly.
