We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Human Resources and Legal Officer (Intern)

Location: Abuja (FCT)
Employment Type: Full-time

Position Overview

We are seeking a youngmotivated person who will serve as an intern with our Human Resources and Legal team here in Abuja.
This crucial role will involve managing some HR functions, working with the team to ensurecompliance with legal requirements, and supporting the overall strategic direction of our organization.
The ideal candidate will have abackground in both human resources and legal frameworks, as well as a passion for fostering a positive workplace culture.

Key Responsibilities

Oversee HR functions, including recruitment, onboarding, performance management, and employee relations.
Ensure compliance with labor laws, regulations, and company policies.
Provide legal advice and support on employment-related matters, including contracts, disputes, and regulatory issues.
Develop and implement HR policies and procedures in line with legal requirements and best practices.
Assist in conducting employee training sessions on HR policies, compliance, and workplace best practices.
Manage employee records and maintain accurate HR documentation.
Support conflict resolution and mediation efforts within the organization.
Collaborate with the team and management to align HR strategies with organizational goals.

Qualifications

A Degree in Human Resources, Law, or a related field. A Master’s degree or professional HR certification (CIPM, SHRM, etc.) is an advantage.
Relevant years of experience in human resources and legal compliance.
Strong knowledge of Nigerian labor laws and regulations.
Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Demonstrated ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and confidentiality.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and HR management software.
