Job Title: Junior Retail Buyer

Location: Gbagada, Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time

Key Responsibilities

Assist in identifying and selecting products that align with market demand and company goals.
Conduct preliminary market research to analyze consumer trends, pricing, and competitor activities.
Support negotiations with suppliers on pricing, quality, and delivery schedules.
Monitor stock levels and support the replenishment process to prevent shortages or overstocking.
Maintain strong relationships with vendors and suppliers to ensure a smooth procurement process.
Collaborate with merchandising and sales teams to track product performance and make recommendations.
Ensure compliance with procurement policies and budget constraints.
Assist in preparing reports on purchasing trends, supplier performance, and cost analyses.
Stay informed about new products and market developments through industry research.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree in Procurement, Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
1-3 years of experience in procurement, retail buying, or a related role.
Strong analytical and organizational skills.
Good communication and negotiation abilities.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and procurement software.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks effectively.
Knowledge of retail market trends and consumer behavior.
Experience with inventory management software and ERP systems.

Salary
N150,000 – N180,000 monthly.
