Job Responsibilities
The Sales Manager is responsible for overseeing the store’s day-to-day operations, managing staff performance, and ensuring smooth inventory and financial management.
This role requires strong leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills to maintain high operational standards and deliver excellent customer service
Conduct inventory checks upon cargo arrival to ensure accurate stock levels.
Update inventory records for new stock purchases, damaged, returned, or promotional items.
Prepare and send a comprehensive end-of-day inventory report to the Business Director (BD).
Monitor staff punctuality and attendance, ensuring adherence to company policies.
Manage salary deductions for lateness, absences, or policy violations.
Oversee compensation for overtime and ensure equitable reward structures.
Approve and manage annual leave schedules to maintain smooth store operations.
Conduct periodic performance reviews and provide detailed reports to the BD.
Resolve internal staff conflicts promptly and fairly.
Provide ongoing guidance, training, and support to staff on operational processes and customer service best practices.
Supervise daily store operations, ensuring a smooth and efficient workflow.
Ensure store hygiene and cleanliness standards are consistently maintained.
Conduct regular store walkthroughs to ensure proper stock arrangement and appealing displays.
Address and resolve customer issues or complaints in a professional and timely manner.
Act as a sales representative, when necessary, especially during peak times, to ensure sales targets are met.
Reach out to customers to confirm the delivery of their items and help as needed.
Provide proactive customer support, maintaining a high level of satisfaction.
Maintain detailed expense records for store operations, including fuel, generator maintenance, and supplies.
Collaborate with the Accountant and BD to approve or process refunds, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
Review daily sales and accounting reports to verify accuracy before submission to the BD.
Requirements
A Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Management, or a related field.
3-5 years of experience in retail or operations management
Strong understanding of inventory management and financial reporting.
Proficiency in using inventory and accounting software.
Basic content creation skills for social media support.
Effective leadership and conflict resolution skills to manage staff.
Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
Strong communication skills to coordinate with staff, vendors, and customers.
Problem-solving mindset to address operational and customer service issues.
Proactive and results-driven approach to store management.
Attention to detail in inventory, financial records, and compliance.
High level of integrity and accountability in decision-making.
Collaborative mindset to foster a positive and productive work environment.

Salary
N180,000 – N220,000 / Month.
