Job Description
The Hotel Manager will report directly to the Managing Director and be responsible for developing and executing operational strategies that enhance service quality, guest satisfaction, and financial performance.
The role involves overseeing all aspects of hotel operations, ensuring brand consistency, and driving revenue growth.
Key Responsibilities
Managing Profitability and Budgeting:
Oversee daily operations to ensure guest satisfaction and financial success.
Review financial reports and optimize operational budgets.
Ensure capital expenditures align with service strategy priorities.
Analyze challenges, develop solutions, and implement performance improvements.
Monitor occupancy rates, wages, and controllable expenses to maximize profitability.
Managing Property Operations:
Drive continuous improvement in service quality and guest experience.
Ensure smooth implementation of brand initiatives and regional business strategies.
Conduct regular property tours, engaging with employees and guests to assess operational needs.
Leading Hotel Operations Teams:
Establish and uphold a clear vision for service excellence.
Foster alignment between property leadership and brand service standards.
Promote a positive and fair work environment for employees.
Human Resources & Team Development:
Provide feedback and coaching to employees and managers.
Recruit and develop a strong operations management team.
Conduct annual performance reviews in line with Standard Operating Procedures.
Maintain an open-door policy and address employee concerns.
Lead daily team briefings and model high service standards.
Education & Experience
HND in Business Administration, Hotel & Restaurant Management, or a related field with 8 years of management experience in operations, sales, or marketing.
OR Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field with 5 years of experience in hotel operations, sales, or marketing.
Skills & Requirements:
Proven track record in delivering outstanding guest experiences.
Strong leadership, team management, and communication skills.
Ability to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends.
Proficiency in hotel management software and booking systems.
Must reside in Kuje or Sabon-Lugbe (proximity to work is highly preferred).
Compensation
Commission-based salary structure, with earnings tied to the hotel’s financial performance.
