Job Title: Safety Officer

Responsibilities

Conduct inspections: Safety officers regularly inspect the workplace to identify potential hazards.
Train employees: Teach employees about safety protocols and the importance of health and safety
Monitor compliance: Ensure that the workplace complies with health and safety regulations.
Investigate accidents: Investigate accidents that occur in the workplace.
Create safety plans: Develop safety plans for the workplace that include company standards and government regulations.
Correct unsafe conditions: Address unsafe conditions or actions in the workplace.
Prepare safety reports: Prepare reports on safety issues.
Supporting emergency preparedness and response efforts, including developing evacuation plans and procedures.
Collaborating with cross-functional teams to promote safety initiatives and ensure the integration of safety practices into daily operations.
Establishing and maintaining effective communication channels with external organisations, such as government bodies, and safety organisations.
Monitor contractors compliance to Company permit to work process.
Ensure compliance to EHS requirement for project site.
Implementation of site and external requirements: Ensure full compliance to Site standard requirement, ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 requirement.
Supporting the development of OHS policies and programs.
Conducting risk assessment and enforcing preventative measures.
Initiate and organize OHS training of employees and executives.
Stop any unsafe acts or processes that seem dangerous or unhealthy.
Record and investigate incidents to determine causes and handle worker’s compensation claims.
