Alpha’s Touch, a middle-class laundry business, is seeking an experienced Business Manager with a strong background in the laundry industry. The ideal candidate must have extensive experience managing laundry operations, driving business growth, ensuring profitability, and optimizing operational efficiency. The Business Manager will oversee the day-to-day running of the business while implementing strategies to attract new clients and retain existing ones.

Job Title: Business Manager (Business & Operations Manager)
Location: Surulere, Lagos

Key Responsibilities
Business Growth & Client Acquisition:
Identify and attract new customers through strategic marketing and business development initiatives.
Develop and implement customer retention strategies to build brand loyalty.
Establish partnerships with corporate clients, hotels, and other businesses for bulk laundry services.
Develop promotional campaigns and oversee digital marketing efforts to increase brand visibility.
Operations Management & Efficiency:
Oversee daily operations, ensuring smooth workflow, quality control, and timely service delivery.
Optimize processes to enhance efficiency and minimize operational costs.
Implement best practices to improve customer experience and service quality.
Monitor and manage inventory, ensuring availability of detergents, chemicals, and equipment.
Supervise staff, ensuring productivity, professionalism, and adherence to company policies.
Financial Management & Profitability:
Develop and execute business strategies to maximize revenue and profitability.
Monitor financial performance, analyze revenue trends, and control expenses.
Establish and maintain proper pricing strategies to ensure competitive and profitable services.
Implement cost-cutting measures while maintaining service excellence.
Prepare financial reports, budgets, and forecasts for business performance evaluation.
Staff Supervision & Leadership:
Recruit, train, and manage a competent workforce for the laundry business.
Foster a productive work environment through motivation, coaching, and professional development.
Ensure compliance with workplace safety, hygiene, and labor regulations.
Key Requirements
Proven experience in the laundry industry (minimum of 3-5 years in a lead / senior role).
Strong business development and client acquisition skills.
Experience in operations management, workflow optimization, and quality control.
Demonstrated ability to increase profitability through strategic cost management and pricing.
Excellent leadership and staff management skills.
Strong knowledge of laundry equipment, detergents, and best practices.
Proficiency in financial planning, budgeting, and sales forecasting.
Ability to work under pressure, problem-solve, and make data-driven decisions.
Strong communication and customer service skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
A Degree or Diploma in Business Management, Hospitality, or related fields is an added advantage.
Experience using laundry management software or POS systems.
