Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Production Officer to oversee and coordinate production activities within our fragrance company.
The ideal candidate will ensure that all processes, from formulation to packaging, adhere to quality, safety, and efficiency standards.
Key Responsibilities
Production Planning and Coordination:
Assist in developing and implementing production schedules to meet daily, weekly, and monthly targets.
Ensure optimal use of resources, including raw materials, equipment, and labor.
Coordinate with procurement to maintain adequate stock levels for production.
Quality Assurance:
Ensure that all products meet the company’s quality standards and specifications.
Conduct quality checks at various production stages and report any deviations or issues.
Process Monitoring and Reporting
Monitor production processes to ensure compliance with safety, hygiene, and regulatory standards.
Maintain accurate records of production metrics, including output, downtime, and wastage.
Prepare and submit production reports to the management team.
Team Supervision and Training:
Supervise production staff and provide on-the-job training as needed.
Ensure team adherence to standard operating procedures (SOPs).
Promote a positive and productive work environment.
Equipment and Facility Maintenance
Ensure production equipment and tools are well-maintained and serviced regularly.
Identify and report equipment faults to the maintenance team promptly.
Continuous Improvement:
Suggest and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and reduce costs.
Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in fragrance production.
Requirements
Education: Bachelor’s Degree or HND in Chemistry, Industrial Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or a related field.
Experience: 2 – 4 years of experience in production, preferably in a fragrance, cosmetic.
Strong understanding of production processes, quality standards, and safety regulations.
Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word) and production management tools.
Excellent leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
