Rota Planner/Scheduler

Job Description/Requirements

Responsibilities:

  • Create and manage staff rotas that align with business objectives.
  • Assign staff to appropriate shifts based on qualifications and preferences.
  • Optimize rotas to reduce costs and improve efficiency.
  • Manage employee time off requests and coordinate coverage.
  • Facilitate shift swapping between employees.
  • Communicate and coordinate with department heads and stakeholders.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s (BSc.) or higher national diploma (HND) in any relevant field
  • Minimum of five (5) years of experience in a similar role.
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and planning skills.
  • Proficiency in scheduling software or tools (like Primavera and others).
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
  • Knowledge of labour laws and regulations in the UK is a plus.


Additional Considerations:

  • Experience in a similar role or industry is preferred.
  • Familiarity with the company’s operations, products, and services is beneficial.
  • A flexible approach to work hours may be required to accommodate changing business needs.
