We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Health Personnel

Location: Abakaliki, Ebonyi
Employment Type: Full-time
Reports To: Health Manager / Supervisor

Job Summary

We are seeking qualified Health Personnel to provide medical support and care to individuals in our facility or community. The role involves assessing, diagnosing, and treating patients, promoting wellness, and assisting in health education programs.
The ideal candidate should have a good understanding of medical procedures and a commitment to improving public health.

Key Responsibilities
Patient Care:

Provide direct medical care, including patient assessments, treatment, and follow-up.
Administer medications as prescribed.

Health Assessments

Conduct physical exams, take medical histories, and document patient information.
Assist in diagnosing health conditions and recommend appropriate treatments.
Refer patients to specialists or further medical care when necessary.

Health Education:

Educate patients and their families on proper health practices, disease prevention, and management of chronic conditions.
Participate in community outreach programs to promote wellness healthy behaviour and nutrition.

Qualifications

A degree or diploma in any health-related discipline.
Previous experience in a healthcare setting is an advantage.
Good knowledge of medical terminology.

Skills:
Clinical Skills:

Proficiency in administering medical treatments, using medical equipment, and performing diagnostic tests and willingness to learn
Knowledge of health conditions and ability to provide appropriate care.

Communication Skills:

Strong verbal and written communication skills to interact effectively with patients, families, and colleagues.
Ability to explain complex medical information in a clear and simple manner.

Empathy and Compassion:

Demonstrate patience, understanding, and care for patients from all walks of life.
Ability to support patients and their families through difficult health situations.

Preferred Skills:

Basic computer skills
Fluent in English and Igbo
Experience with public health initiatives or community outreach programs.

Salary
N40,000 – N85,000 Monthly.
