Business Development Manager

Job Description/Requirements

Responsibilities:

Market Research and Analysis:

  • Conduct market research to identify new business opportunities and industry trends.
  • Analyze competitors and market dynamics to inform strategic planning.


Strategy Development:

  • Develop and implement business development strategies to achieve company goals and objectives.
  • Create and execute business plans to generate new revenue streams and partnerships.

Client Acquisition and Relationship Management:

  • Identify and pursue new business prospects and leads.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, partners, and stakeholders.
  • Conduct presentations and negotiations to secure new business deals.


Sales and Revenue Generation:

  • Develop and manage a pipeline of potential clients and opportunities.
  • Work with the sales team to develop proposals and close deals.
  • Monitor and report on sales performance and business development metrics.

Collaboration and Coordination:

  • Work closely with marketing, product, and operations teams to align business development efforts with company objectives.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure successful implementation of new business initiatives.


Reporting and Documentation:

  • Prepare and deliver regular reports on business development activities and outcomes.
  • Maintain accurate records of client interactions, proposals, and contracts.


Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field. An MBA or other relevant advanced degree is a plus.
  • Proven experience as a Business Development Manager or in a similar role, with a strong track record of success.
  • Industry-specific knowledge (if applicable) is highly desirable.


Skills:

  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
