Job Description/Requirements
Responsibilities:
- Maintain up-to-date and accurate financial records, including transaction logs, payments, expenses, invoices, and incoming payments.
- Ensure the timely and accurate recording of all financial transactions.
- Manage financial transactions, including payments, receipts, and transfers.
- Monitor cash flow and ensure adequate funds are available for operations.
- Handle company and employee taxes, including income tax, VAT, and other applicable levies.
- Prepare and submit tax returns on time.
- Prepare comprehensive financial reports, such as balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
- Conduct regular financial audits to ensure accuracy and identify areas for improvement.
- Analyze financial data to identify trends, assess performance, and provide recommendations for improvement.
- Assist in budgeting and forecasting to support strategic planning.
- Ensure that all financial processes and systems are compliant with relevant financial regulations and best practices.
- Develop and implement optimal systems to streamline financial operations.
- Reconcile accounts payable and receivable to ensure accuracy and prevent discrepancies.
- Monitor bank payments, compute taxes, and prepare tax returns.
- Manage balance sheets and profit and loss statements.
- Examine bank statements and reconcile them with general ledger entries.
- Review expense submissions from employees and monitor incoming payments.

- Ensure the timely and accurate recording of all financial transactions.
Requirements:
- An experienced hand with a minimum of >2 years experience in a similar role.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial regulations.
- Professional certification e.g., ICAN, ACCA is an added advantage.
- Proficiency in financial software and accounting systems (e.g., Zoho Books, QuickBooks, SAP)
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams
- Knowledge of tax regulations and compliance standards
- Familiarity with budget management and financial forecasting
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities effectively.
