Job Description/Requirements

Responsibilities:

  • Maintain up-to-date and accurate financial records, including transaction logs, payments, expenses, invoices, and incoming payments.
  • Ensure the timely and accurate recording of all financial transactions.
  • Manage financial transactions, including payments, receipts, and transfers.
  • Monitor cash flow and ensure adequate funds are available for operations.
  • Handle company and employee taxes, including income tax, VAT, and other applicable levies.
  • Prepare and submit tax returns on time.
  • Prepare comprehensive financial reports, such as balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
  • Conduct regular financial audits to ensure accuracy and identify areas for improvement.
  • Analyze financial data to identify trends, assess performance, and provide recommendations for improvement.
  • Assist in budgeting and forecasting to support strategic planning.
  • Ensure that all financial processes and systems are compliant with relevant financial regulations and best practices.
  • Develop and implement optimal systems to streamline financial operations.
  • Reconcile accounts payable and receivable to ensure accuracy and prevent discrepancies.
  • Monitor bank payments, compute taxes, and prepare tax returns.
  • Manage balance sheets and profit and loss statements.
  • Examine bank statements and reconcile them with general ledger entries.
  • Review expense submissions from employees and monitor incoming payments.
  • Maintain up-to-date and accurate financial records, including transaction logs, payments, expenses, invoices, and incoming payments.
  • Ensure the timely and accurate recording of all financial transactions.


Requirements:

  • An experienced hand with a minimum of >2 years experience in a similar role.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial regulations.
  • Professional certification e.g., ICAN, ACCA is an added advantage.
  • Proficiency in financial software and accounting systems (e.g., Zoho Books, QuickBooks, SAP)
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams
  • Knowledge of tax regulations and compliance standards
  • Familiarity with budget management and financial forecasting
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities effectively.
