Job Description

We’re hiring a Maintenance Supervisor in Awka, Anambra State, to effectively manage mold activities, oversee machine maintenance, and ensure the smooth operation of production processes.

Key Responsibilities

Oversee all mold-related activities, including usage, maintenance, repairs, and inventory management.
Monitor the performance of molds and ensure they are in optimal condition for extrusion.
Manage and oversee maintenance activities for all machinery and equipment on the shop floor.
Ensure that all machinery is operating efficiently and safely, conducting regular inspections and diagnostics.
Develop and implement preventive maintenance schedules for machines and molds to minimize unexpected breakdowns and downtimes.
Lead troubleshooting efforts and coordinate repairs for any mold or machine issues.
Maintain detailed records of all maintenance activities, including work orders, repairs, and parts used.
Work closely with production teams to ensure molds and machines meet production demands and quality standards.
Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies in all maintenance activities.
Monitor and manage the inventory of spare parts and materials needed for mold and machine maintenance.
Prepare and submit regular reports on mold performance, machine maintenance, and any issues encountered.

Skills and Qualifications

Minimum of Technical Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Maintenance, or a related field.
At least 4 years experience as a maintenance supervisor, or in a similar role in a manufacturing environment.
Strong knowledge of machine maintenance, and repair techniques.
Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
Strong organizational and time management skills.
Effective communication and leadership abilities.
Attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records.
Ability to work well under pressure and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
