Deli Supervisor

Job Description/Requirements

 Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and train deli staff to achieve excellent customer service and efficiency
  • Manage deli inventory, including ordering, receiving, and stocking products
  • Maintain high levels of product knowledge, including meats, cheeses, and prepared foods
  • Ensure accurate pricing, labeling, and merchandising of deli products
  • Maintain a clean and sanitary deli department, adhering to company and food safety standards
  • Resolve customer complaints and issues in a professional and courteous manner
  • Collaborate with other departments to achieve sales goals and customer satisfaction
  • Implement company policies and procedures, including security and loss prevention
  • Perform deli staff duties as needed, including preparing and packaging products

Requirements:

  • 2+ years of experience in a deli or food service environment, with 1+ year in a supervisory role
  • Strong leadership and communication skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively
  • Basic math skills and accuracy with inventory management
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; degree in Food Service or related field preferred
  • Certification in food safety and handling preferred
