Job Description/Requirements
Responsibilities:
- Supervise and train a team of cashiers to achieve excellent customer service and efficiency
- Manage cash handling procedures, including deposits, withdrawals, and balance
- Maintain accuracy and attention to detail in handling cash, credit card transactions, and coupons
- Resolve customer complaints and issues in a professional and courteous manner
- Monitor and control labor costs, scheduling, and staffing levels
- Implement company policies and procedures, including security and loss prevention
- Collaborate with other departments to achieve sales goals and customer satisfaction
- Perform cashier duties as needed, including operating a cash register and handling customer transactions
Requirements:
- 2+ years of experience as a cashier or in a related field, with 1+ year in a supervisory role
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively
- Basic math skills and accuracy with cash handling
- OND, HND, BSC. in Business or related field preferred
- Experience with point-of-sale systems and cash-handling software
