Cashier Supervisor

Job Description/Requirements

Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and train a team of cashiers to achieve excellent customer service and efficiency
  • Manage cash handling procedures, including deposits, withdrawals, and balance
  • Maintain accuracy and attention to detail in handling cash, credit card transactions, and coupons
  • Resolve customer complaints and issues in a professional and courteous manner
  • Monitor and control labor costs, scheduling, and staffing levels
  • Implement company policies and procedures, including security and loss prevention
  • Collaborate with other departments to achieve sales goals and customer satisfaction
  • Perform cashier duties as needed, including operating a cash register and handling customer transactions

Requirements:

  • 2+ years of experience as a cashier or in a related field, with 1+ year in a supervisory role
  • Strong leadership and communication skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively
  • Basic math skills and accuracy with cash handling
  • OND, HND, BSC. in Business or related field preferred
  • Experience with point-of-sale systems and cash-handling software
