Cake Decorator

Responsibilities:

• Decorate cakes, cupcakes, and other baked goods using various techniques and materials (e.g., fondant, buttercream, piping)
• Design and create custom cake designs for special orders and occasions
• Prepare and color icing, fondant, and other decorating materials
• Maintain a clean and organized workspace, adhering to safety and sanitation standards
• Collaborate with other bakery staff to achieve efficient production and high-quality products
• Develop new decorating ideas and techniques to keep offerings fresh and exciting

Requirements:

• 1+ year of experience in cake decorating or a related field
• Strong knowledge of cake decorating techniques, materials, and equipment
• Creativity, attention to detail, and ability to work accurately
• Ability to lift up to 25 pounds and stand for long periods
• High school diploma or equivalent required; degree in Culinary Arts or related field preferred
• Certification in cake decorating or a related field (e.g., Wilton, PME) preferred
