Business Analyst

Job Description/Requirements

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with the Managing Director (MD) to review business and project plans, and business cases, and identify new business opportunities.
  • Perform various forms of business, financial, and technical analysis, compiling reports that provide critical information to the MD for decision-making.
  • Support the MD in providing key information to internal and external stakeholders regarding marketplace needs, competitive environment, business performance, and other pertinent issues.
  • Generate dashboards that present business data in a concise and intelligible format suitable for executive leadership review and interpretation.
  • Track industry benchmarks, trends, and yardsticks, sharing strategic insights with the MD, and highlighting current and future trends.
  • Conduct a detailed analysis of findings, identify areas of poor performance, and offer actionable recommendations and insights to the MD.
  • Actively participate in special business projects, conducting research and preparing presentations as needed.
  • Perform other duties as may arise from time to time.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, or a related field. A Master’s degree or relevant certifications (e.g., CBAP, PMI-PBA) is a plus.
  • Minimum of 4-5 years of experience in business analysis, financial analysis, or a related field. Experience working directly with executive leadership is preferred.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with a proven track record of conducting business, financial, and technical analysis. Ability to interpret complex data and translate findings into actionable insights.
  • Proficiency in using data analysis tools and software such as Excel, SQL, Tableau, Power BI, or similar. Experience with business intelligence tools and dashboard generation is essential.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present complex data and insights in a clear, concise, and intelligible manner suitable for executive leadership.
  • In-depth understanding of business processes, market dynamics, and industry trends. Ability to assess marketplace needs and the competitive environment to identify business opportunities.
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to ensure accuracy in reports, dashboards, and presentations.
  • Experience in supporting and managing special business projects, with the ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with various internal and external stakeholders, providing key information and insights as required.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks and adapt to changing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong ability to identify areas of poor performance and provide actionable recommendations to drive business improvement.
