Job Title: Sales Manager (Industrial)
Location: Victoria Island, Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time
Overview
- Each will be responsible to market and sell in sector type divisions.
- The sales manager will be responsible to generate leads in relevant sector, market the company services, follow up and close sales and work with sales engineers on techno-commercial offers.
- This role requires a dynamic leader with strong interpersonal skills, strategic thinking, and a proven track record in driving sales growth and team performances.
Relationship:
- Sales Manager – The position is a Mid-Senior Level, communicates with and reports to the top management.
Responsibilities
Sales Strategy Execution:
- Develop and Implement sales strategies, procedures, and policies related to Power Selling, Power Rental, Project Design & Execution, and Equipment Selling roles.
- Generate leads and convert to clients; meeting the organization’s targets
- Drive the achievement of sales targets and KPIs for the sales team.
Team Leadership:
- Manage and lead the sales team,
- Provide guidance, coaching, and mentoring to team members to enhance their skills and performance.
Performance Monitoring and Reporting:
- Monitor individual and team performance against targets and KPIs.
- Regularly report on sales performance, market trends, and challenges to senior management.
Training and Development:
- Identify training needs for the sales team and collaborate with management to provide relevant training programs.
- Continuously enhance the team’s skills in sales techniques, product knowledge, and customer engagement.
Customer Relationship Management:
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients and industry stakeholders.
- Address customer inquiries, concerns, and feedback in a timely and effective manner.
Strategic Planning:
- Provide insights and recommendations to senior management based on market analysis and performance data.
Traits and Competencies:
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities.
- Result-oriented with a track record of exceeding targets.
- Effective communicator and relationship-builder.
- Adaptability to changing market dynamics.
Qualifications and Experience
- Master’s in relevant field through reputable local universities, this is to ensure adequate communication skills and more academically qualified.
- Has at least 10 years in sales of service type business
- Can be an expat position or high profile local position.
- Proven experience as a Sales Manage and has sold to reputable industrial entities (muti-nationals, tier 1 clients, manufacturing clients, oil & gas companies, government entities, NGO’s)
- Has a background in power business and sold power services
- Has worked with competing or equivalent companies (such as; Mantrac, Aggreko, Jubaili, Mikano, Cummins West Africa, JMG etc.)
- Has experience in sales development through lead generation, closing big sales, improved profitability, marketing company services etc.
- Strong understanding of the power solutions industry, market trends, and competition in Nigeria
- Has experience in selling turnkey engineering projects, selling of equipment and solutions, selling of products
- Ability to develop and grow a sales team
- Proficient Microsoft Office suite and Microsoft 365 applications
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Salary
N1,000,000 – N1,500,000 Gross Monthly (This is negotiable based on experience and qualification).
