Assistant Finance Officer

Responsibilities:

Financial Forecasting and Budgeting:

• Lead the development of financial forecasts and budgets for all brands under Key Retail Group on Amazon FBA.
• Utilize advanced financial modeling techniques to predict future financial trends, optimize cash flow, and ensure alignment with strategic business goals.

Financial Reporting and Compliance:

• Prepare, analyze, and present comprehensive financial reports to senior management and investors.
• Ensure all financial activities comply with internal policies and external regulations, maintaining the highest level of accuracy and integrity in financial reporting.

Leadership and Team Management:

• Provide leadership and mentorship to junior assistant finance officers, fostering a collaborative and high-performing team environment.
• Delegate tasks effectively, monitor team performance, and ensure that all financial tasks are completed to the highest standards.

Day-to-Day Financial Support:

• Assist the Financial Officer in daily financial operations, including transaction processing, account reconciliation, and variance analyses.
• Ensure that all financial records are meticulously maintained and up-to-date.

Reconciliation and Variance Analysis:

• Conduct regular reconciliation of accounts, ensuring that all discrepancies are identified and resolved promptly.
• Perform variance analysis to understand deviations from financial forecasts and budgets, providing insights for corrective actions.

Investor Relations:

• Manage financial communications with investors, providing them with accurate and timely financial information.
• Assist in the preparation of investor reports, highlighting key financial metrics and business performance indicators.

Strategic Financial Planning:

• Collaborate with senior management to develop and implement long-term financial strategies.
• Analyse market trends, financial risks, and investment opportunities to support informed decision-making and drive business growth.

Continuous Improvement:

• Identify opportunities for process improvements within the finance department.
• Implement best practices in financial management and reporting, and leverage technology to enhance efficiency and accuracy.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field (Master’s degree or professional certification such as CPA, ACCA, or CFA preferred).
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in financial management, preferably within the e-commerce or retail industry.
• Proven expertise in financial forecasting, budgeting, and reporting.
• Strong leadership skills with experience in managing and mentoring finance teams.
• Advanced proficiency in financial software and tools, including Excel, Quick Books, and financial modeling software.
• In-depth knowledge of Amazon FBA financial operations and investor relations.
• Exceptional analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data and provide strategic recommendations.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to present financial information clearly to non-financial stakeholders.
• High attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy and compliance.
• Ability to work under pressure, manage multiple priorities, and meet tight deadlines.
• Strong ethical standards and integrity in handling confidential financial information.
