The Event Center Manager is responsible for managing the operations of the event center. This role involves coordinating events, maintaining the facility, managing budgets, and ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction. The manager will work closely with clients, vendors, and internal teams to plan and execute a wide range of events, including conferences, weddings, trade shows e.t.c.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Liaise with clients to understand their event requirements and ensure all details are accurately captured.
- Manages, receives and coordinates all bookings and rentals for the Event Center and monitors results.
- Coordinate with caterers, event decorators and other vendors to ensure timely delivery of services.
- Ensure the event center is maintained to the highest standards of cleanliness and functionality.
- Liaison with Operation manager in scheduling of staff to ensure adequate coverage for events and daily operations.
- Provide leadership and guidance to the team to ensure excellent customer service and efficient operations.
- Develop and manage the event center’s budget.
- Negotiate contracts with vendors and clients to ensure favorable terms and cost-effectiveness.
- Ensure a positive client experience from initial inquiry to post-event follow-up.
- Gather feedback from clients to continuously improve the quality of services offered.
- promote the event center and attract new clients through various marketing channels such as social media e.t.c.
- Develop packages and pricing strategies to maximize bookings and profit.
- Build and maintain relationships with key clients.
- Ensure all events comply with local regulations, health and safety standards, and fire codes.
- Develop and implement safety procedures for the facility and during events.
- Handle emergency situations and incidents efficiently, ensuring the safety of all attendees.
- Perform other tasks as assigned by the management.
REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s degree Business Administration,Hospitality management or a related field.
- 3 years experience in event management, hospitality, or a similar role.
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills,time management skills, with attention to detail.
- Excellent sales and marketing skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage budgets and negotiate contracts.
- Proficient Microsoft Office Suite(excel, word).
SALARY: 135,000 NGN
