Finance/Accounts Manager

Job Summary

The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in preparing financial statements, periodical budgets, and filing statutory returns such as Payee, Pension, and Taxes. Strong working knowledge of Microsoft suite and any of the accounting software tools: Tally9/Navision/Sage.

Job Description/Requirements

Responsibilities:

  • Manage and maintain financial records, including general ledger
    entries, accounts payable and receivable, payroll, and bank
    reconciliations.
  • Prepare and ensure timely and accurate monthly, quarterly, and
    annual financial statements and reports.
  • Develop and manage budgets, financial forecasts, and variance
    analyses.
  • Monitor and analyze financial performance, identifying areas
    for improvement and implementing corrective actions.
  • Ensure compliance with accounting principles, company policies,
    and relevant regulations.
  • Conduct internal audits to ensure accuracy and integrity of
    financial data.
  • Prepare and file tax returns, ensuring compliance with all tax
    laws and regulations.
  • Collaborate with external auditors, providing necessary
    documentation and information.
  • Manage cash flow, ensuring adequate liquidity for operational
    needs.
  • Handle invoicing, payments, and collections to maintain
    efficient cash management.
  • Support management with financial insights and recommendations.
  • Assist with other administrative tasks as needed.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
    Additional certification (such as ICAN) is a plus
  • Minimum of 6 years of post-qualification accounting experience, preferably in the
    distribution, logistics, sports betting industry.
  • Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Tally 9, QuickBooks,
    SAP) and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial
    reporting.
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving
    skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks
    effectively.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong work ethic, hardworking, disciplined, punctual, and honest to the core. 
  • Must be below 35 years of age


Note: This is a full-time, on-site position and the candidate should be willing to work from our Ogba-Ikeja Office.
