Job Description/Requirements

Responsibilities:

  • Assist in managing daily production activities, ensuring smooth operations in the production area.
  • Communicate effectively with production staff, supervisors, and management to ensure that tasks are completed efficiently and on time.
  • Maintain accurate inventory records, track stock levels, and manage the flow of materials and products within the production area.
  • Generate regular reports on production activities, inventory status, and other relevant metrics; present these reports to management and suggest improvements or corrective actions where necessary.
  • Implement and monitor food safety protocols and ensure compliance with QHSE standards in all production processes.
  • Conduct routine checks to ensure that all equipment and production areas meet safety and hygiene standards.
  • Participate in the development and implementation of production schedules and workflow plans.
  • Assist in the resolution of production-related issues, including troubleshooting equipment malfunctions and coordinating repairs as needed.
  • Support the training of new staff members in production procedures, safety protocols, and inventory management practices.
  • Make decisions in real-time to address any issues that may arise in the production process, ensuring minimal disruption and maintaining quality standards.
  • Collaborate with other departments, such as procurement and logistics, to ensure timely delivery of raw materials and finished products.
  • Maintain a high level of integrity and professionalism in all interactions with colleagues, suppliers, and other stakeholders.
  • Ensure that production areas are kept clean, organized, and safe at all times.
  • Adhere to all company policies and procedures, particularly those related to food safety and quality control.

Requirements:

  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar role within a production environment.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills; must be outspoken, bold, and mature, with the ability to work effectively with a diverse team.
  • Excellent inventory management skills, with proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Ability to generate reports, analyze data, and make informed decisions.
  • High level of integrity, with a strong commitment to maintaining food safety standards and QHSE compliance.
  • Knowledge of food safety regulations and general QHSE practices.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to take decisive actions when necessary.
  • Proximity to the location is crucial for this role, as it may involve early starts or late finishes.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high-quality standards in all aspects of production.
