We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Quantity Surveyor / Cost Evaluator

Location: Ikeja, Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time
Reports To: General Manager/ Head, Cost Evaluator

Job Summary

• The Quantity Surveyor (QS) shall be responsible for managing all costs related to building and civil engineering projects, from the initial calculations to the final figures.
• The QS will demonstrate a thorough understanding of contract management, cost estimation, and industry regulations, with relevant experience in an office or site environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and manage project budgets, ensuring value for money.
• Evaluate and manage the costs of the project, including procurement, labor, and materials.
• Coordinate with subcontractors and suppliers to ensure alignment with project specifications and contract awards.
• Maintain accurate records of contracts, payments, and project changes.
• Advise on contractual matters and resolve any emerging issues during the project lifecycle.

Requirements

• HND, BSc. in Quantity Surveying, or equivalent certificate.
• Minimum of 5 years in a similar role.
• Registered member of a relevant professional body (e.g., NIQS or equivalent).

Abilities Required:

• Strong analytical and negotiation skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
• Excellent customer-facing skills and professionalism.
• Proficiency in the use of relevant QS software and tools will be an added advantage.
