We are seeking a skilled and creative Chef to join our team and elevate the culinary experience at our spa. The ideal candidate will have a passion for both healthy, gourmet cuisine and traditional Nigerian dishes, and a commitment to delivering exceptional quality in every meal. The Chef will be responsible for creating and serving these dishes in a visually appealing and innovative manner, aligning with the spa’s holistic and wellness-focused brand.

Job Description/Requirements

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare a variety of high-quality meals and refreshments for spa guests, including light snacks, beverages, and special dietary options.
  • Develop and implement a seasonal menu that aligns with our holistic and wellness-focused brand, featuring both healthy cuisine and traditional Nigerian dishes.
  • Ensure all food is prepared and presented in a creative and visually appealing manner that enhances the overall spa experience.
  • Maintain a clean and organized kitchen, adhering to food safety and hygiene regulations.
  • Collaborate with the spa management team to create special offerings and seasonal promotions.
  • Monitor inventory levels and order supplies as needed.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience of at least 1 year as a Chef or Cook.
  • Experience in a similar setting, preferably in a spa, wellness, or upscale environment is a plus.
  • Strong knowledge of healthy cooking techniques, traditional Nigerian cuisine, and dietary requirements
  • Creative and innovative approach to menu development and food presentation.
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • High standards of cleanliness and food safety.

Preferred Skills:

  • Culinary degree or relevant certification.
  • Experience with special dietary needs (e.g., gluten-free, vegan).
  • Ability to create aesthetically pleasing and health-conscious Nigerian and fusion dishes.

Benefits:

  • Competitive salary of 75,000 to 100,000 depending on experience, skills and qualifications.
