Job Description/Requirements

Responsibilities:
  • Sourcing and closing deals on solar installation (solar roofing shingles, solar panels, battery storage, and recycling, as well as inverters)
  • Prospect new clients and qualify leads through various channels, such as cold calls and door-to-door marketing
  • Provide customers with accurate information about our solar products and services, and help them select the best solution for their energy needs
  • Create and maintain outstanding relationships with clients
  • Negotiate prices and contracts with customers to close sales deals and secure long-term partnerships
  • Develop and maintain a database of leads and effectively prioritize them for sales outreach
  • Educate customers on the advantages of solar energy, including cost savings, environmental benefits, and available incentives or rebates
  • Explain the solar installation process, system components, and financing options to potential customers
  • Visit customers’ locations to evaluate their energy needs, roof suitability, and sun exposure to determine the optimal solar system size and design
  • Collaborate with design and engineering teams to create personalized solar energy proposals based on-site assessments and customer preferences
  • Present proposals to customers, address their questions and concerns and negotiate terms to secure contracts
  • Meet or exceed sales quotas
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends, regulations, and technologies
  • Present sales, revenue, and expenses reports and realistic forecasts to the management team of the company
  • Track sales goals and other key KPIs to ensure the overall success of the business and sales team

Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business administration, or a related field (preferred)
  • Minimum of 2-3 years of sales experience in the solar industry or selling energy or utility products
  • Ability to work independently and within a team
  • Familiarity with solar technologies and the renewable energy industry
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
  • Proven track record of achieving and exceeding sales targets
  • Proficient in using CRM software and other relevant sales tools
  • Successful previous experience as a solar salesperson, consistently meeting or exceeding targets
