Pinnah Foods Limited is a proudly indigenous company dedicated to expanding and redefining the Nigerian Restaurant Landscape. We currently own two distinct brands, the Ice Cream Factory; a Premium Ice Cream & Dessert Brand and Yin Yang Express; a Chinese Quick Service Restaurant brand.
We are recruiting to fill the position below:
Job Title: Head, Central Production
Location: Yaba, Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time
Job Summary
- As the Head, Central Production, you will be responsible foroverseeing the entire central production facility, ensuring that all food products are prepared, packaged, and distributed efficiently.
- This role involves managing production schedules, coordinating with procurement and logistics, maintaining strict food safety and hygiene standards, and driving continuous improvement initiatives to optimize production processes.
- The Head of Central Production will also manage a team of production staff, ensuring that they are well-trained and motivated to meet the company’s operational goals
Key Responsibilities
Ensure Efficient and Consistent Food Production:
- Oversee daily operations of the central production facility, ensuring efficient and timely production of food items.
- Develop and implement production schedules to meet the demand of all outlets, balancing quality and efficiency.
- Monitor production processes to ensure consistency in taste, quality, and presentation.
Quality Control:
- Maintain high standards of food safety and hygiene, ensuring compliance with industry regulations and company policies.
- Conduct regular quality checks and audits to ensure products meet established standards.
- Implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance production quality and efficiency.
Team Leadership:
- Manage and mentor a team of production staff, ensuring they are well-trained and motivated.
- Foster a positive work environment that encourages teamwork, accountability, and professional development.
- Conduct performance evaluations and provide feedback to drive improvement and productivity.
Inventory and Supply Chain Coordination:
- Collaborate with procurement and logistics teams to ensure timely and accurate delivery of raw materials and ingredients.
- Monitor inventory levels and manage stock to minimize waste and prevent shortages.
- Optimize the supply chain process to improve cost-efficiency and reduce lead times.
Process Optimization:
- Analyze production data and workflows to identify areas for improvement in efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
- Implement and monitor lean manufacturing techniques and other best practices to enhance production processes.
- Lead projects aimed at streamlining operations and reducing production costs.
Safety and Compliance:
- Ensure all production activities comply with health and safety regulations, maintaining a safe working environment for all staff.
- Develop and enforce standard operating procedures (SOPs) to mitigate risks and ensure consistent production outcomes.
- Stay informed of industry trends and regulatory changes, updating practices as necessary.
Reporting and Analysis:
- Prepare regular reports on production performance, including metrics such as output, quality, and cost efficiency.
- Analyze production data to forecast demand, plan capacity, and allocate resources effectively.
- Report findings and recommendations to senior management to support decision-making.
Collaboration and Communication:
- Work closely with other departments, such as R&D, marketing, and outlet management, to align production with business goals.
- Communicate effectively with all stakeholders to ensure seamless coordination and execution of production plans.
- Address and resolve production-related issues promptly to minimize disruption to operations.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Food Technology, Food Science & Nutrition, Nutrition & Dietetics, Quality Management or a related science field
- Minimum of 10 years experience in managing central production for a quick-service restaurant or food establishment is highly valued.
- In-depth knowledge of food safety, quality control, and production processes.
- Familiarity with Chinese cuisine and cooking techniques is essential.
- Proven leadership experience, with a track record of managing teams and driving results.
