Job Title: Cook (Nigerian Dishes)

Job Summary

• We are seeking a skilled and passionate Cook to join a prestigious fine dining restaurant.
• The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing high-quality meals according to the restaurant’s standards.
• This role requires a strong knowledge of various cooking techniques, ingredients, and Nigerian cuisine, along with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook dishes according to the restaurant’s recipes and standards.
• Ensure all meals are prepared in a timely manner and meet quality and presentation expectations.
• Maintain a clean and organized kitchen workspace.
• Follow food safety and sanitation guidelines strictly.
• Assist in managing kitchen inventory and ordering supplies as needed.
• Collaborate with the kitchen team to develop new recipes and menu items.
• Monitor portion control and minimize waste.
• Ensure all kitchen equipment is properly maintained and functioning.
• Assist in the training of kitchen staff as required.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a cook, preferably in a fine dining or high-end restaurant.
• Strong understanding of various cooking methods, ingredients, and procedures.
• Ability to prepare traditional Nigerian dishes as well as international cuisine.
• Knowledge of food safety standards and kitchen hygiene.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills.
• Strong teamwork and communication skills.
• Culinary certification or relevant qualifications are an added advantage.

Salary
N80,000 – N100,000 Monthly.
